Valley Baptist Emergency Center Harlingen is a freestanding emergency room on North Ed Carey Drive, open 24 hours a day, every day. It treats injuries and sudden illness such as fractures, cuts, burns, head injuries, fever and dehydration. It's part of Valley Baptist Health System, whose main Harlingen hospital is on Pease Street.

Valley Day & Night Clinic on Dixieland Road is an urgent care that takes walk-ins with no appointment needed, and it stays open until 8 PM on weekdays. It handles sick visits, flu, strep and COVID tests, X-rays and EKGs, vaccines, and school, sports and DOT physicals. Most insurance is accepted, and there's a discount program for patients without insurance.

Action Behavior Centers at Victor Park is an ABA therapy center for children with autism on South Expressway 83 in Harlingen. It offers in-center ABA for ages 18 months to 8, at-home ABA up to age 13, and help getting an autism evaluation. A formal autism diagnosis is needed before therapy starts, and the center accepts more than 120 insurance plans.
