This Saturday's craft gets the grandparents talking.

The Historic Brownsville Museum's Second Saturday craft program on Oct. 10 is all about family history. Kids and grown-ups make a family tree together, from 10 a.m. to noon.

It's free, and all ages are welcome. The museum doesn't list any registration.

One tip before you go: ask an abuela or a tío this week for a few names and the towns they came from. A family tree goes faster with someone who remembers helping fill it in, and the kids hear stories they might not hear otherwise.
